The SSM operates a Seniors Information Line (1-888-823-2211) to provide information and/or assistance on a variety of issues, including financial abuse, mental or physical abuse, scams, health, recreation, fear of youths, and so forth. All calls are answered by an individual, who is able to access information on the computer immediately (province wide), or refer the individual to the proper channels. The target population for this service is seniors. We also have many people who call on behalf of seniors, professional, nonprofessional, relations. This line has also become a stress line for individuals.
